Opti 2026 concluded at the Munich Exhibition Centre in Munich with increased exhibitor participation and trade visitor attendance, providing an international platform for product launches, professional dialogue, and networking.
The 2026 edition featured 354 exhibitors, representing an increase of more than 7% compared with 330 exhibitors in 2025. The exhibitor mix spanned the full optics value chain, including frame design, spectacle and contact lenses, equipment, IT, shopfitting, and hearing acoustics. Organizers reported a total of 21,972 trade visitors, up more than 4% year over year, including 4,491 international visitors, an increase of more than 5%.
Opti Spheare, which debuted this year, introduced exhibitors and programming from the hearing acoustics segment, with practical presentations and interactive discussions focused on integrating hearing services into optical businesses. Tomorrow Vision, the joint platform of leading contact lens manufacturers, returned with a sports-focused theme, combining hands-on presentations, product applications, and live demonstrations to highlight contact lens solutions for active consumers.
The Opti Design Stage showcased design and trend insights and hosted international speakers, trend forecasts, and industry discussions. The location also served as the venue for presenting finalists and winners of the Opti Frame Award categories, including the Opti Frame Star Award, Opti Box Award, and Opti Visionary Award.
Opti 2026 continued its emphasis on career development and entrepreneurship through dedicated programming for young professionals and emerging business owners. Initiatives included consulting services for prospective entrepreneurs, guided tours for the next generation of industry professionals, and the Opti Next Generation Hub, which offered networking, education, and career-focused programming.
Award recipients announced during the event included Breitfeld und Schliekert for the Opti Frame Star Award with its JustMILO Model JMM3, Manti Manti for the Opti Box Award, and Pickz AI for the Opti Visionary Award.
