Orbis International has appointed Kathleen Sherwin as president and CEO. Sherwin brings more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit and humanitarian sectors, with a focus on health equity, gender equality, and sustainable development. Prior to joining Orbis, Sherwin served as chief strategy & engagement officer at Plan International, where she led global strategy, partnerships, fundraising, communications, and policy. She has also held senior leadership roles at Women Deliver, including interim president and CEO, and at Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
VSP Vision has appointed Nicola Zotta as president of eyewear and managing director of both Marchon Eyewear and Marcolin. The appointment follows VSP Vision’s acquisition of Marcolin and places Zotta in charge of leading the integration of the 2 global eyewear companies. Zotta succeeds Fabrizio Curci, who is stepping down as CEO and general manager of Marcolin and will serve in an advisory role during the transition. Zotta reports to VSP Vision President and CEO Michael Guyette and returns to VSP Vision after serving as CEO of Artsana Group. He previously served as president of Marchon from 2016 to 2022 and held earlier leadership roles with Marchon and Safilo.

Zeiss Vision Care has been awarded the Unity Gold Seal of Excellence, recognizing Unity Partners that meet established quality testing standards for the production of Unity Progressive Lenses and TechShield Anti-Reflective Coatings. The designation signifies the company’s compliance with Unity program quality requirements and its ability to deliver consistent manufacturing quality across Unity lens and enhancement offerings.

Hoya Vision Care has announced the US launch of Pentax Optical Lenses, now available through managed vision care plans. Pentax Optical Lenses have been available internationally for more than 100 years and are sold in 26 markets worldwide. The US portfolio includes single-vision, occupational, and progressive lenses, along with advanced coatings and the Sensity family of photochromic lenses.
