Selima Optique announced plans to debut “Le Petit Musée de Lunettes,” a vintage eyewear museum and retail installation, at Eyecon 2026. The event will take place March 6-8, 2026, at The Glasshouse NYC, in New York City.
Curated by designer and optician Selima Salaun, the installation will feature a selection of vintage eyewear drawn from Salaun’s personal archive, which has been assembled over several decades. The display will include frames from established fashion houses, independent designers, and historical collections. Additionally, select archival pieces will be made available for purchase outside Selima Optique’s boutiques.
“‘Le Petit Musée de Lunettes’ is my personal love letter to eyewear,” says Salaun. “Each frame carries a memory of a moment, a place, or a person who inspired me. Sharing them at Eyecon feels like inviting the industry into the world that shaped my vision.”
In addition to the vintage archive, Selima Optique will present frames from its current collection, as well as selected collaborations with figures from fashion and culture, including costume designer and creative director June Ambrose and fashion icon Iris Apfel.
“Le Petit Musée de Lunettes” will be accessible to Eyecon attendees throughout the duration of the show. The installation is intended to highlight the evolution of eyewear design, including changes in silhouettes, materials, and cultural influences.
