Lighthouse Guild has announced several changes to its team:
Calvin W. Roberts, MD
CEO Calvin W. Roberts, MD, prepares to step down at the end of March after five years with the organization. During his tenure, Dr. Roberts prioritized advancements in assistive technology to better support individuals who are blind or visually impaired, leading to the establishment of the Lighthouse Guild Technology Center. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded its services and broadened its reach through national teleconferences and published research, aiming to improve access to assistive technology. Thomas Panek will assume the role of president and CEO.
Maura SweeneyMaura Sweeney has been promoted to chief operating officer, effective April 1. Sweeney, who has been with the organization since 2010 and currently serves as chief program and services officer, brings extensive experience in health care and program management.
Monica TraczikMonica Traczik has been appointed as the director of GuildCare, the organization’s adult day health care program designed for individuals with vision loss, providing services that support health, independence, and quality of life. Traczik will oversee daily operations and strategic initiatives at the Manhattan site, bringing extensive experience in health care administration, previously serving as director of nursing at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center and holding leadership positions within NYC Health + Hospitals.
