Kering Eyewear has appointed Davide Righetto as head of North America, overseeing operations for all brands in the U.S. and Canada. Righetto previously served as deputy head of North America and led the integration of the Maui Jim business over the past two years. He also formerly headed Kering Eyewear’s Asia Pacific region.

Newton, formerly known as Neurolens, announced the acquisition of Founders Optical Lab, a national provider of optical products and services for eyecare professionals. Founders Optical, a VSP-approved lab, will continue to operate under its existing brand while integrating Newton’s resources, including expanded product offerings such as Sequel and Unity lens designs and TechShield coatings. As part of the transition, Founders Optical will adopt Newton’s operational policies and a 3% credit card fee effective Dec. 1. Customers will continue to receive free shipping on standard orders with autopay enrollment.

CooperVision announced that Jennifer Lambert, vice president of myopia management and cornea care, received a Silver Stevie Award for Female Executive of the Year in Consumer Products (More Than 2,500 Employees) and a Bronze Stevie Award for Woman of the Year in Health Care. The honors recognize Lambert’s leadership in expanding access to myopia management worldwide.
