ZEISS
DuraVision Gold UV AR

Zeiss Vision Care introduces DuraVision Gold UV AR, the latest addition to its DuraVision portfolio of antireflective lens coatings. The new coating features a subtle gold residual reflectance alongside several functional benefits, including improved durability, easier cleaning, reduced blue light reflections, and enhanced clarity in low-light conditions, according to the company.
DuraVision Gold UV AR includes Zeiss’s CleanGuard technology, engineered to repel oil and water, which the company says makes lenses up to three times faster to clean compared with previous Zeiss coatings. The coating also offers a Bayer test score of 16 for scratch resistance and reduces blue light reflections by up to six times, helping maintain color-neutral, clear lenses, Zeiss shares.
The coating can be applied to various Zeiss lens types, including single-vision, digital, office, bifocal, and progressive lenses, as well as prescription sunglasses and polarized options.
BAUSCH + LOMB
Zenlens Chroma HOA

Bausch + Lomb launches Zenlens Chroma HOA scleral contact lenses, wavefront-guided, custom lenses designed to correct advanced higher-order aberrations (HOA). The lenses’ proprietary Zenlens technologies, including SmartCurve and Bi-Elevation, ensure a stable fit before applying custom HOA correction to reduce visual symptoms, Bausch + Lomb shares.
To support integration of the lenses into practice, Bausch + Lomb is collaborating with Advance Medical to manufacture the lens design using its FocalPoints software platform and with Ovitz to capture HOA measurements using its xwave aberrometer, the first aberrometry system specifically developed for HOA correction, Bausch + Lomb shares.
VSP OPTICS
Unity Via Elite VR

VSP Optics releases Unity Via Elite VR powered by mimesys, progressive addition lenses developed using virtual reality (VR) technology. Based on the Unity Via Elite II Progressives platform, the lenses use a VR headset to capture precise data on a patient’s gaze dynamics, including eye and head movements, to create a custom lens design, according to the company.
The technology maps a patient’s visual behavior to optimize the placement of near, intermediate, and distance prescriptions within the lens, which reduces the need for adaptation periods and minimizes adjustments after dispensing, VSP shares.
The lenses will be available exclusively to VSP members, with early access offered to VSP network providers through a priority enrollment list.
