Zeiss Vision Care launches the Zeiss DuraVision Plus portfolio, an expanded range of antireflective and mirror coatings that incorporates the company’s CleanGuard technology. The portfolio builds on technology first introduced with DuraVision Gold UV AR and is now available across multiple DuraVision coatings and mirror offerings.
According to the company, the DuraVision Plus coatings are designed to provide high scratch resistance and durability, achieving high Bayer ratios used to assess abrasion performance. The coatings also feature enhanced residual reflex to increase light transmission and support clearer visibility of the wearer’s eyes, Zeiss shares. Also, Zeiss’s CleanGuard technology improves surface cleanability by increasing resistance to oil and water, resulting in lenses that can be cleaned more quickly than previous premium coatings, according to the company.
The new Zeiss DuraVision Plus portfolio includes Zeiss DuraVision Plus Platinum UV, Zeiss DuraVision Plus Silver UV, Zeiss DuraVision Plus Chrome UV, Zeiss DuraVision Plus Mirror, Zeiss DuraVision Plus Sun UV, Zeiss DuraVision Plus BlueProtect UV, and Zeiss DuraVision Plus DriveSafe UV.
The coatings are available for both prescription lenses and finished single-vision stock lenses.
