EB editor-in-chief Kerri Ann DeCindis and managing editor Veronica Daub hosted the “Flaunt the Frame” eyewear fashion show on Sept. 19 during Vision Expo West in Las Vegas.
Striking poses to a live DJ at the main stage location, models showcased standout frames from exhibiting companies to highlight five key trends shaping the fall/winter season in eyewear and fashion.
1. Getting Over the Understated: a departure from quiet luxury with bold details such as crystal embellishments, logos (even on lenses), and more overt displays of opulence and eye-catching elements
2. Collegiate Cool: highlighting an academia-oriented aesthetic with design elements like the classic keyhole nose bridge and preppy-meets-street-style vibes
3. Patterns + Prints That Pop: bold takes on plaids, polka dots, floral prints, and more
4. Sporty Staples: leaning into sporty styles as consumers continue to prioritize fitness and athleisure
5. Paint the Town Red: Various shades of red make an impact, echoing other categories such as handbags and cosmetics.
