EB’s proprietary research unveils key directions the contact lens category is headed in for ECPs in 2023.
We asked, you answered, and the results are aligned with the forecast: The contact lens market is on a path of slow-but-steady growth—and most respondents have raised their pricing.
EB’s most recent reader Focus Group Study reveals that, for respondents, CL purchases make up 24% of overall practice sales, with CL patients accounting for 33% of overall patients. Interestingly, when asked which contact lens area of focus interests them most, over a third of respondents say they are most interested in myopia management—and the same number also say they are most interested in scleral lenses. Additionally, while competition from online retailers remains a formidable force in the contact lens arena, online is a sales avenue that a full 61% of respondents say they are not taking advantage of, while 38% do sell online or plan to do so. What’s your strategy?
Here, we offer five contact lens-focused snapshots of the market for intel you can utilize in your own practice.
