Alcon introduces Systane Pro Preservative-Free, an over-the-counter eye drop designed to relieve symptoms associated with dry eye. This product is the longest-lasting formula in the Systane line and features a triple-action, preservative-free formulation, Alcon shares.
Designed to provide temporary relief from burning and irritation due to eye dryness, the Systane Pro Preservative-Free Alcon formula includes hyaluronate, nano-sized lipids, and HP-Guar, which work together to hydrate the eye, stabilize the tear film, and protect against further irritation, according to the company.

BAUSCH + LOMB
Arise
Bausch + Lomb launches Arise, a cloud-based orthokeratology (ortho-k) lens-fitting system designed to streamline the lens-design process for treating myopia. Arise syncs with corneal topographers and uses advanced algorithms to generate precise ortho-k lens designs within seconds, Bausch + Lomb shares.
The Arise platform does not require a fitting set and includes features such as overnight outcome maps to evaluate lens centration and recommend adjustments. The cloud-based system also provides remote access to patient data as well as support from Bausch + Lomb consultants.

COBURN TECHNOLOGIES
Velocity TT
Coburn Technologies releases the Velocity TT, a compact tabletop optical lens spin coater that occupies less space while enabling in-house lens hard coating. According to the company, the device processes two lenses simultaneously; features loading, washing, and curing stations; and incorporates an advanced motor system to maintain consistent spin speeds without requiring calibration. Coburn Technologies shares that the device coats with 100% solids coatings and can process up to 50 lenses per hour.
