Valley Contax Inc., in partnership with Contamac US, announced that they will award 2 $1,500 travel grants—1 to an optometry student and 1 to a cornea & contact lens resident—to help support travel expenses for attending the Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS) 2027 in Las Vegas. The travel grants are designed to recognize emerging leaders in specialty contact lenses and provide students and residents with an opportunity to advance their education and professional development.

The Optometry Student Travel Grant is open tooptometry students from the classes of 2027 or 2028. They must submit a short video sharing the story of a contact lens patient who had a meaningful impact on their clinical experience. Submissions should highlight how the patient experience influenced the student's perspective on specialty contact lenses and their vision for the future of the field.

Cornea & Contact Lens residents currently enrolled in an accredited residency program are invited to complete a poster or case report featuring the use of a Valley Contax lens design.

Submissions for both opportunities are open now and will close October 19, 2026. Winners will be announced on Valley Contax social media channels on October 23, 2026. Submission forms are available through the student and doctor portals at ValleyContax.com.
