The Southern Independent Optical Show (SIOS) has announced new dates for its third annual event, moving from its previous spring timing to open the fall optical trade show season September 11-12. With a focus on independent eyecare professionals and boutique eyewear brands, SIOS will be held in the Dallas–Fort Worth area at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Organizers say the event will maintain its emphasis on fashion-driven eyewear, curated exhibitors, and educational programming tailored to independent optometrists and opticians. The format is designed to offer a more intimate alternative to larger industry trade shows, with a focus on networking, trend discovery, and product education.
Planned features include a runway-style fashion presentation, exhibitor showcases, and onsite food and beverage offerings throughout the day.
“SIOS is about more than just showcasing products—it’s about building a community,” said Leo Zupan, owner of Laibach & York and one of the organizers of SIOS. “We’re creating a space where independent professionals can connect, learn, and grow together in a way that feels authentic and exciting.”
Additional details, including registration and exhibitor announcements, are expected in the coming weeks. Learn more here.
