TVC has named Kris Stevens as vice president of research, where he will lead the organization’s inSights Research Program and oversee the delivery of market intelligence, reports, and custom research services. Since joining in 2022, Stevens has played a key role in advancing the group’s research capabilities, including developing its current market model, quarterly forecasts, and interactive tools such as a tariff simulator and career exploration platform. In his new role, Stevens will manage the data team and continue expanding research offerings designed to provide actionable insights across the optical industry.

The Professional Eye Care Associates of America (PECAA) and VSP Vision have extended their Vision Exam Rebate program through 2027, allowing PECAA Max members to receive up to $15 per VSP commercial eye exam. Since launching in 2023, the initiative has delivered more than $100 million in additional revenue to roughly 4,000 participating practices, reflecting strong adoption among independent providers. Eligible PECAA Max practices aligned with partner labs by the end of 2026 can receive up to $60,000 in rebates in 2027, while other participants may qualify for up to $30,000, with no spending requirements.
