OWA has named Cathy Firman and Carissa Dunphy to its 2026-2027 Board of Directors. Firman, senior director of customer success for GPN Technologies and an OWA member since 2017, currently serves as cochair of the OWA Events Committee, while Dunphy, digital marketing associate for PECAA and a member since 2021, serves as cochair of the OWA Communications & Website Committee. The organization also recognized departing board members Katie Lauver of GPN Technologies, who chaired the Website & Communications Committee and helped oversee the evolution of OWA’s website, and Liz Friedfeld of ClearVision Optical, who served for 4 years as cochair of the Membership & Welcome Committee.

Rochester Optical Manufacturing Company has launched KONNEKT Eyewear, a new collection in its Allegiant Eyewear portfolio, featuring interchangeable KOVERS temple components designed to let wearers personalize their frames. The KOVERS system works across more than 80 KONNEKT frame styles and colors, with collections spanning fashion, sports, entertainment, military branches, colleges, and licensed options from Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League. Rochester Optical says the interchangeable system gives optical practices and retailers opportunities to generate additional purchases between eye exams through seasonal and interest-based promotions and the introduction of new KOVERS designs throughout the year.
