Virtual Vision Forum Launched
Eyecare professionals are invited to join Prevent Blindness’ The Focus Initiative, a virtual forum for people working in vision and public health. Its aim is to create a professional network that encourages the sharing of resources (including training, webinars, and events) among its members. Those interested can join the dedicated LinkedIn group at preventblindness.org/linkedin.
The first webinar, to be held Sept. 20, will focus on the release of an important study, Public Health Approaches to Reduce Vision Impairment and Promote Eye Health, from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.

NOUVEAU ADDS ONLINE TOOLS
Nouveau Eyewear has added an online ordering system to help its customers better manage their accounts. The system is accessible from the home page by clicking “View & Pay Statements.” In addition to making payments online, ECPs can now view their account summary (including past statements), invoices, and payment history.

NEW WEBSITE REBATES
Bausch + Lomb has a new web portal that gives patients and ECPs a more streamlined process to obtain rebates. The site also makes it possible for patients to use a portion of their rebate to directly support Optometry Giving Sight. The site is optimized for all digital devices, and its launch coincides with the introduction of a new rebate program for the entire Bausch + Lomb contact lens portfolio.
