THE NEWEST EYEWEAR FROM AROUND THE GLOBE
GO ON AND GLIMMER
The iconic Judith Leiber has designed and handcrafted luxurious handbags for decades—works of art that have been carried by both celebrities and first ladies. Now, the legendary designer is debuting a dazzling eyewear collection with Match Eyewear.
Launching at Vision Expo West this month in Las Vegas, the brand-new Judith Leiber eyewear collections include Judith Leiber Couture and JL by Judith Leiber. The lines are produced through a license with Authentic Brands Group (ABG).
Overall, the Judith Leiber eyewear lines “reflect Judith Leiber’s signature elegance, style, and sophistication,” says Nick Woodhouse, president and chief marketing officer of ABG, owner of the Judith Leiber brand.
The Judith Leiber Couture collection offers 14 optical and three sun styles, handcrafted with high-quality materials and accents, including Mazzucchelli acetate, lightweight titanium, sculpted metal end pieces, and sparkling Swarovski crystals. “The Judith Leiber frame wearer is inspired by whimsical design and novel accessories that reflect her personality and ignite conversation,” says Woodhouse. Suggested retail pricing for the Judith Leiber Couture collection is $450-$550 for optical and $390 and above for sun.
Designed for fashion-forward millennials, the JL by Judith Leiber eyewear collection features 16 optical and six sun styles. Suggested retail pricing for this collection is $350-$400 for optical and $250-$300 for sun.
The Judith Leiber and JL by Judith Leiber collections are supported by a contemporary two-piece countertop display and Lucite logo plaques. In addition, all Judith Leiber products are accompanied by a decorative case and branded cleaning pouch.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with ABG on Judith Leiber, an iconic luxury brand that further expands our designer portfolio,” says Ethan Goodman, president of Match Eyewear. “Judith Leiber is a brand that fits perfectly in the Design Gallery segment of our business. We are even more excited to pioneer the JL by Judith Leiber eyewear collection, which allows us to offer this exquisite brand at a more accessible pricepoint, which is Match Eyewear’s niche in the market.”
