Vision Source Members Gather at The Exchange

More than 3,000 O.D.s and staff from independent practices around the country are coming together in Tampa for The Exchange 2019, the annual meeting of Vision Source. Vision Source is the largest network of private practice optometrists in North America.

The Exchange provides attendees with a mix of continuing medical education, optometry supplier exhibition, and peer-to-peer best practice sharing. The event boasts nearly 3,000 optometrists and staff and more than 150 vendors. A highlight is keynote speeches by “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts and hero pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger.

"In the past year, our network has experienced strong practice growth, increased member engagement, and launched innovative programs,” says Vision Source president and CEO Jim Greenwood. “Vision Source continues to thrive after 28 years. In our ongoing commitment to independent optometrists, we provide our member doctors with cutting-edge technologies that improve patient outcomes and create operational efficiencies. The Exchange offers expanded learning opportunities, networking moments, and professional development experiences that will lead Vision Source members into the year 2020.”

The Exchange highlights include: free continuing education, an exhibit hall filled with more than 150 vendors, a panel discussion with C-suite executives on what’s next for the private practice optometric network, general session, keynotes, and learning labs.

“For two consecutive years, Vision Source has been named the number one optical retailer in the United States. We earned this honor by focusing our efforts on cultivating optometry leaders and improving practice management,” says Jeff Duncan, Vision Source executive VP and chief operating officer.
