L’Amy America has entered the luxury eyewear market with the formation of a new company, called Ultimate Vision USA. Made possible by its acquisition of Mad Vision, L’Amy America will use Ultimate Vision USA to extend the company’s reach in the luxury eyewear category.
“With the introduction of [eyewear brands] McLaren, Chris Craft, Henry Jullien, and Plein Les Mirettes, we felt that it was very important to complement our current distribution by entering into the luxury eyewear market in a significant way,” says Stephen Rappoport, CEO of L’Amy America “With Ultimate Vision USA, we are able to offer truly unique technologies and craftsmanship that is not currently available in the eyewear marketplace. Our Ultimate Vision team brings a wealth of experience in the luxury eyewear market and our teams will work closely together to ensure the new company’s success.”
Ultimate Vision USA will be led by Guillaume Pottecher as its president. Pottecher was previously president of Mad Vision.
The Ultimate Vision division “is a fantastic opportunity for our high-end optician partners all over the U.S. to differentiate their stores in a very distinctive and qualitative way and offer a new high-level of patient experience,” Pottecher says.
