After being led by an interim CEO since November, Silhouette Optical, Ltd, has a new leader. Onofrio “Mike” Giannattasio will take the reins of Silhouette International’s U.S., subsidiary, effective tomorrow.
Giannattasio (pictured) comes to Silhouette with 30 years’ experience in the luxury watch and accessories sectors, including with Montblanc North America (where he served as CEO), Christian Dior Watches, Breguet, and Swatch Group. He is a specialist in brand strategy, organization development, sales growth, and marketing transformation within the business sector.
Jan Rosenberg, CEO of Silhouette International, notes that “Mike’s impressive success in developing the North American businesses of several high-end European brands, as well as his inquisitive strategic sales creativity and discipline, makes him the perfect choice for this leadership role at Silhouette’s United States business. With Mike’s addition to the current USA management team, we believe Silhouette is poised to strengthen significantly its leadership position in the market.”
Carol Montgomery, has been serving as Silhouette USA’s Interim CEO since mid-November, when then-president Jan Cory left the company. Montgomery will support Giannattasio during a transition phase, before she joins Silhouette USA’s Board of Directors in June.
