What Makes a Game Changer?

They are AOA presidents, globe-trotting mentors, industry disruptors, staunch supporters of independent optometry + retail, eyewear concierges, and optical illusionists.

The 10 women who were presented with this year’s 2019 EB #GameChangers awards are purely inspiring. All independent female eyecare professionals who are breaking down barriers, ushering in positive change, and shaking things up in the industry for good.

What makes a Game Changer? An entire year in the making, the roster of 10 #GameChangers for 2019 was nominated and confirmed by the EB editorial team, the EB Editorial Advisory Board of experts, and the 2018 EB #GameChangers awardees. Last year, the 2018 #GameChangers awards debuted this groundbreaking intiative, which was celebrated across the industry.

The 2019 #GameChangers gathered at International Vision Expo West 2019 in Las Vegas for a networking celebration and photo shoot with top Los Angeles photographer Jurgen Reisch.
