Sophia Visanji, O.D., developed a love for optometry because it fuses her three passions—business, medicine, and fashion. She serves up seriously spec-tacular style inspo online as The Monocle Muse, and also works as a full-time optometrist at OPTYX, which has eight luxury-focused locations in New York. —Kerri Ann Raimo
6:43 a.m. Set an intention for the day and write down five things I’m grateful for.
7:03 a.m. To the gym for quick cardio.
8:23 a.m. I throw on a pair of high-waisted black pants, a fitted black turtleneck, and booties, and peruse my eyewear collection before settling on a bold, heavy plastic Gucci frame.
9:29 a.m. Arrive at work to check my schedule and answer any patient inquiries from the day before.
9:43 a.m. See my first patient of the day.
2:35 p.m. Grab a lamb pita from my favorite Greek spot, Souvlaki GR.
3:03 p.m. Continue seeing patients.
5:15 p.m. End the work day finishing any charts and billing exams.
5:30 p.m. Find a coffee shop nearby to answer emails and complete admin work for The Monocle Muse.
6:42-10 p.m. Some evenings I’m at events, but most nights involve rich conversation with good friends over a delicious meal.
