Smith releases two new alternative performance running sunglasses and a coordinating optical frame.
Designed for runners, sunglass styles Pinpoint (above) and Uproar feature ChromaPop lens technology and are constructed of lightweight-yet-durable injection-molded Evolve bio-based frame material. The Evolve material is a proprietary eco-conscious alternative, used to help reduce the use of petroleum in eyewear manufacturing.
Built for movement, Pinpoint and Uproar also feature interchangeable nose pads: a saddle bridge that is designed to sit comfortably yet elevated from the face to reduce bounce while running and promote airflow to minimize fogging, and a cap-style nose bridge that can be swapped for a standard lifestyle fit. Each nose bridge is comprised of megol, which reacts to perspiration by gently adhering to the skin, allowing for a comfortable, no-slip fit.
Inspired by the Uproar sunglasses, the new Uplift optical style is an injected molded frame with megol nose pads and metal flex hinges integrated into the temple and face front.
