EYEWEAR ADDITIONS AND LINE EXTENSIONS
OVVO Optics introduces the Nouveau Collection, a capsule collection consisting of four frames (three sunglass styles and one ophthalmic style) inspired by the Art Nouveau movement of the early 1900s, and, specifically, the work of Czech painter Alfons Mucha.
According to OVVO, the feminine designs reference Mucha’s paintings of women, with distinctive cutouts that mirror the "whiplash curves" of his time period. From Mucha’s detailed expression of curly hair to his elegant portrayal of a woman’s face and body, the new frames offer a subtle nod to one of OVVO’s favorite artists and inspirations.
This mini collection also exudes OVVO’s technical expertise—each pair is handmade in Europe using OVVO’s patented screwless hinge and a signature surgical steel titanium composite that is notably lightweight, comfortable, and durable.

JOE Joseph Abboud from Altair delivers contemporary shapes, new materials, and pops of colors in its latest collection, which launches this month. SPY Optic has launched a prescription version of its Happy Lens, available on a full range of 45 styles (including most SPY frames).
Introduced in 2013, the Happy Lens was designed to keep “good rays in, bad rays out.” It blocks the sun's harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays, while allowing the transmission of more “good rays” (longwave blue light at 490nm), notes the company.
SPY has partnered with iCoat to offer the Rx Happy Lens program, which offers free-form technology with premium backside anti-reflective coating. Available designs include single vision or progressives with iCoat’s Inscribe Sport 2 proprietary design—and in the full palette of SPY’s Spectra-coated lens colors.
“Now, those who require a prescription can enjoy the benefits of the Happy Lens with a digitally surfaced, fully compensated free-form design with a premium backside coating,” says Jim Sepanek, executive vice president of SPY. “The result is protection against all the bad rays, UV, and shortwave blue light, while transmitting more of the good rays, those longwave blue light rays that provide a positive effect on circadian rhythm.”
Prescription lens costs vary and the SPY frame lineup ranges from $85-$210.
